ST. FRANCIS - Jeffrey Lynn Curry Jr., 33, made his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, April 8, 2017, in Kyle.

Jeffrey was born on July 26 in Pine Ridge to Jeffrey Curry Sr. and Deb (Has No Horse) Bad Milk.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Deb Has No Horse of St. Francis; stepfather, Richard Bad Milk of St. Francis; children, Jeffrey Curry III of St. Francis and Wakinyan Curry of Santee, Neb.; brothers, Tate Curry of Sioux Falls, Curtis Palmier of Rapid City, Roby Wade of Martin and Brian Red Bear of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters, Lynette Has No Horse of Rapid City, Leah (Bad Milk) Roberts of Omaha, Neb., Lisa and Misty Palmier, both of Rapid City, Amber Palmier of Colo., Nakina Yellow Hair, Cassie Has No Horse, and Amy Richards, all of Allen, Pearl Red Bear of Hannibal, Mo. and Janeen Jackson of Martin; uncles, Albert Curry Sr. of Kyle, Gino Curry, Elmer Sanchez and Arthur Has No Horse Jr., all of Allen; aunts, Wilma Colhoff of Pine Ridge, Devona Lone Wolf of Martin, Faith Richards of Allen, Arlette Has No Horse of Wanblee, Julia Has No Horse of Rapid City, Tanya Priestly of New York and Mari Curry of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandfather, Arthur Has No Horse Sr. of Yellow Bear; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Curry Sr.; grandmothers, Priscilla Plenty Arrows (Has No Horse) and Beatrice Cottier; grandfather, Albert Curry Sr.; brothers, Moses Red Bear, Arlan Bissonette, and Calvin Bissonette; and aunts, Waneta Lone Wolf and Yvonne Has No Horse.

Two night wake services were held April 13 and 14 at the American Horse School in Allen. Funeral services were held April 15 at the American Horse School, with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating. Traditional Lakota services were held by Mr. Warren “Guss” Yellow Hair and Mr. Jonathan Long Soldier. Burial services were held at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Allen.
