Eli ‘JazJones’ Jason Feather Earring Jr.

RAPID CITY — Eli “JazJones” Jason Feather Earring Jr., 25, made his journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday December 31, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.

Eli Jason Feather Earring Jr. was born on September 30, 1992 in Pine Ridge to Eli Feather Earring, Sr. and Luwanda (Mesteth) Feather Earring.

Eli is survived by his mother, Luwanda (Mesteth) Feather Earring of Kyle; wife, Tashina Shangreaux of Kyle; siblings, Kevin and Shaniah Feather Erring, both of Kyle; uncle, Jusint Whitebull of Glencoe, Minn.; aunt, Theresa Whitebull of Glencoe, Minn.; and grandparents, Norma Ceron of Kyle, Sharon & Robert Two Crow, Ricky Gray Grass and Mary Lou Black Crow, all of Wakpamni.

Eli was preceded in death by his father, Eli Feather Earring Sr.; stepfather, Robert Joseph Rosales; uncle, Terrance Mesteth; brother in law, JoDon Shangreaux; grandparents, Matthew Mesteth Sr., Edgar Ghost Bear and Linda Feather Earring; and great-grandmother, Agnes Dozark.

A two night wake service started on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Little Wound School small gym in Kyla. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Little Wound School small gym in Kyle, with Fr. Ron Seminara officiating. Traditional Lakota services were held with Mr. Hawk Eye Montileaux and Mr. Sundown Montileaux. Burial service was at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine.
