RAPID CITY –– Active community member Becky Drury will run for the Rapid City Council in Ward 1, which covers the south and east portions of Rapid City. She will work to advance the growth and creation of businesses, promote a high quality of life, and support ongoing work to reduce poverty and homelessness.
“We live in a unique and wonderful city”, Drury said. “Rapid City is headed in a positive direction. I will strive to keep those changes moving forward, insuring that our city continues to be a safe, vibrant and economically sound place to live, grow and play.”
Drury serves on the Rapid City Library Board, is the current Toastmasters Ambassador for western South Dakota, a member of Skyline Toastmasters, a graduate of the Leadership
Rapid City, a member of Parkview Evangelical Free Church and has served on the local American Advertising Federation Board.
She is retired after serving over 21 years in a local telecommunications company. Becky and Neal Drury have two grown daughters who have chosen to live in Rapid City. They have four grandchildren, Tavin, Teagan, Claire and Cadence.
