Broncos defense shows big in thrashing the Cowboys

An incredible week of football as Commander Timmy stands by with this week’s updates. That is right as Vikings QB Sam Bradford sat out with a sore knee against the Steelers and is expected to return next week. OT Garett Bowles (leg) and WR Benny Fowler (head) of the Broncos left the game and did not return against the Cowboys.

Panthers TE Greg Olsen broke his foot against the Bills. Packers WR Jordy Nelson injured his quad muscle against the Falcons. A declaration was made by the National Football League Players Association stated there would not be any irreparable harm towards Cowboys Ezekiel Elliot if he were to continue to play while legal battles continues over his suspension. “An empty stadium at the Mile High Stadium,” jeered Timmy. That is what happened when the game was delayed an hour due to lightning.

As far as early games the (2-0) Baltimore Ravens defeat the (0-2) Cleveland Browns 24-10. Flacco was consistent as he tossed for 217 yards and two scores. Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally get an opportunity to play after Hurricane Irma as the defeat the Chicago Bears 29-7. Bucs QB Jameis Winston did not miss a beat passing for 204 yards and one score. His play was coupled by teammate WR Mike Evans who had 93 yards and a touchdown.

Purely defensive battle as the (1-1) Buffalo Bills who drop to the (1-1) Carolina Panthers 9-3. Panthers QB Cam Newton had 228 yard passing in the outing. Also we had our first overtime of the year as the (1-1) Arizona Cardinals escape the (0-2) Indianapolis Colts 16-13. Cardinal QB Carlson Palmer was the star completing 332 yards and one score. “Very good Commander, you always stay on top of things I will continue,” stated the Captain.

Scoring thirty two points in the second half were the (1-1) Tennessee Titans who defeated the (1-1) Jacksonville Jaguars 37-16. RB Derrick Henry carried the load for the Titans for 92 yards and a score. A close contest between the (2-0) Kansas City Chiefs who pulled out a win against the (1-1) Philadelphia Eagles 27-20. Chiefs TE Travis Kelce hauled in 103 yards and a score while Eagles QB Carson Wentz tossed for 333 yards and a score in the loss.

A triumphant return of the Super Bowl champion (1-1) New England Patriots who dismantled the defense of the (0-2) New Orleans Saints for a score of 36-20. Brady was unstoppable tossing for 447 yards and three scores. TE Rob Gronkowski added to the Saints demise by hauling in 116 yards of receptions and one score.

Vikings QB Sam Bradford was sorely missed by his injury as the (1-1) Minnesota Vikings fall to the (2-0) Pittsburg Steelers 26-9. Steelers WR Martavis Bryant opened up a struggling Steelers offense with three receptions for 91 yards and a score. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisburger added 243 yards and two touchdowns.

Second time wasn’t a charm for the (0-2) Los Angeles Chargers as Kicker Younghoe Koo missed a field goal opportunity again as the (0-2) Chargers drop to the (1- 0) Miami Dolphins 19-17. Dolphins RB Jay Ajagi who rumbled for 122 yards coupled by QB Jay Cutler’s 230 yards passing and one touchdown in the win.

Congratulations to Washington’s QB Kirk Cousins who had his first child and victory as (1- 1) Washington defeated the (1- 1) Los Angeles Rams 27- 20. Cousins had 171 yards passing while on the opposite side Rams QB Jared Goff completed 224 yards and a score.

In Atlanta it was the (2- 0) Falcons who flew past the (1- 1) Green Bay Packers 34- 16. Falcons WR Julio Jones was flying high grabbing four receptions for 95 yards in the win.

In Oakland, the (2- 0) Raiders soared past the Jets 45- 20. Raiders QB David Carr combined with 230 yards passing and three touchdowns. He w as matched by WR Michael Crabtree who added 80 yards of receptions and three scores as well in the win. Texans (1- 1) QB Deshaun

Watson got his first NFL start and did not disappoint running for 49 yards and scoring the game-winning score over the (0- 2) Cincinnati Bengals.

Game of the week was played in Denver as the (2- 0) Broncos routed the (1- 1) Dallas Cowboys 42- 17. Broncos QB Trevor Siemien had his best day as a pro passing for 231 yards and 4 touchdowns. Denver RB CJ Anderson rumbled for 118 yards and one score. Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott was held to eight yards on nine carries. CB Aquib Talib intercepted a Dak Prescott pass and took it 103 yards down the side line for a score to “seal the deal.”

In a post- game conference

Broncos Head Coach Joseph Vance said, w e stacked the box and stayed in a base defense to stop Elliott, no one has ev er played the Cowboys like that before.”

A hard defensive battle r between the (1- 1) Seattle y Seahawks who defeated v the (0- 2) San Francisco p Forty Niners 12- 9. Niners W RB Carlos Hyde rumbled c for a whopping 123 yards against a tough Seahawks m defense in the loss. n
