RAPID CITY — Caroline Jean McCloud-Wilson, 60, made her journey to the Spirit World on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Caroline Jean McCloud-Wilson was born on June 27, 1957 in Pine Ridge, to Eliel Moses Wilson and Eva G. Bettelyoun-Wilson-Martinez.
Caroline is survived by mother, Eva G. Martinez of Rapid City; sisters, Diane Wilson of Kadoka and Annie (Ted) Ferguson of Kyle; significant other, Ronnie Fischer of Rapid City; nieces & nephews, Lisa Ferguson of Kyle, Frankie “Jo” Poor Bear of Denver, Colo., Laurie Jakeway of Kadoka, Keaunna Poor Bear and Miranda Poor Bear both of Wall, and Ariel Poor Bear of Wanblee, Shania Mallory, Cheyenne Mallory, and Tristin Mallory all of Vermillion, Eliel Poor Bear of Wanblee and James (Melissa) Ferguson of Michigan, Tate Mallory Jr., Desmond Poor Bear-Thin Elk, Damon Poor Bear-Thin Elk, and Eva Poor Bear-Thin Elk all of Denver, Colo.
Caroline was preceded in death by her father, Eliel Moses Wilson; sister, Ethel Clark, and niece, Deanna Rose Ferguson.
A one night wake service for Caroline, started on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, with Father Chris Johnson, S.J. and Father Joe Daoust, S.J. officiating. Burial service was at the Wanblee Community Cemetery in Wanblee.
