RAPID CITY – Claudette Marie Long Soldier made her journey to the Spirit World on September 7, 2022 at her home in Rapid City, SD. Claudette was born on March 17, 1966 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alvin Francis Long Soldier and Ethel Marie Comes.
Claudette is survived by her father, Alvin F. Long Soldier; daughters, Tyra Ashley, Shatori Black Elk, and Ethel Thunder Hawk; sons, Zuya Thunder Hawk and William Thunder Hawk; siblings, Emmaline Ferguson, Marlin Long Soldier, Craig Long Soldier, Rhonda Long Soldier, Gerri Long Soldier, Alvin Long Soldier, Jr., Hakela Long Soldier, Elizabeth Long Soldier, and Sylvia Shovelhead-Rector; aunt, Sharon Yellow Boy; and grandchildren, Alkin Aguilar, Lucca and Mesmerize White Bull, Michael, Emilliana, Marcelo, and Montrose Rainbow, Savannah, Hakela, and Zoe Thunder Hawk.
Claudette was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel M. Comes-Long Soldier; sister, Evelyn Long Soldier; brother, Shawn “Fonz” Long Soldier; niece, Tashauni Long Soldier; and grandson, Wambli Thunder Hawk
Pallbearers will be Alkin Aguilar, TJay Sullivan, Louis Sullivan, James Stover, Adonis Collins, and Hoksila Whistler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chiloe Bailey, Gregory Black Elk, Tony Adams, and All Friends and Relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the On Common Ground in Rapid City, SD
Funeral Services: 9:00 AM, Friday, September 16, 2022 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City, SD
