The Rapid City Indian community is in crisis. Given the exacerbating violence and drug related events, we feel a responsibility to facilitate gathering individuals, families, and the community together and continue efforts in support of individual, family and community healing.
We believe that Lakota cultural teachings and lifeway practices will rekindle our identity and belief system and lead to a reduction in crime and violence in these at risk neighborhoods. Lakol wicohan glus naunjinpi.
We will register 20 koskalaka (boys) and 20 wikoskala (girls) for overnight camping.
Day campers will sign in and register each morning, Waivers will be provided. We will not be responsible for accidents or injuries. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Meals will be provided.
