LAWTON, Okla. – Darlene Elk Boy, 84, journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Lawton, Okla.
Darlene Elk Boy was born on January 20, 1936 in Pine Ridge to Francis Ira Elk Boy and Helen Hard Heart.
Darlene is survived by her children, Donna Zimmerman and Diane Comes both of Rapid City; Delores Comes of Denver, and Dean Comes of Sioux Falls; sister, Lois Sherman of Lawton, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Darlene was preceded in death by her spouse, Joseph Dean Comes Out Holy; daughter, Debbie Comes; sisters, Clementine Tail and Josephine White Face; brother, Leroy Elk Boy; and grandson, Casey Two Sticks.
Pallbearers were Cody Black Elk, Bennett Hard Heart, Mike Hard Heart, Alvin Hard Heart, Donovan Hard Heart, Darrell Trueblood, Jesson Warrior, and Tony Janis.
Honorary pallbearers were all her Friends and Relatives.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, with Father Brad Held, S.J. officiating.
