PINE RIDGE – Earl Dwayne Thunder Bull, 66, made his journey to the Spirit World on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Earl Dwayne Thunder Bull was born on February 13, 1952 in Pine Ridge to Vincent and Ella (Imitates Dog) Thunder Bull.
Earl graduated high school from Little Wound High School in May of 1976. After which, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
Earl is survived by his sons, Charles Thunder Bull and Wesley Thunder Bull, both of Rapid City; special friend, Bonnie Richards of Pine Ridge; sisters, Bernadine (Bill) May of Tucson, Ariz., Susan Big Crow, Phyllis Campbell, Dorothy Thunder Bull and Amanda (Jim) Christensen, all of Kyle; aunt, Mildred Thunder Bull of Kyle; hunka brother, John Connally of Pittsburgh, Pa.; hunka sister, Eunice Nassar of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Ella Thunder Bull; son, Duwayne Thunder Bulll; and grandparents, Shield and Josephine (Bissonette) Thunder Bull, Wallace (Belle Black Bear) Imitates Dog, Douglas Thunder Bull, Rose Thunder Bull-White Face, Malcolm Thunder Bull, Cecil Thunder Bull, Linda Thunder Bull-Means, Faye Thunder Bull-Lone Hill, and Cora Thunder Bull-Bird Hat.
Pallbearers will be: William Gourd, Cody Gourd, Dustin Gourd, Michael Ashley, Henry Clifford, Jamie Big Crow, Roger Campbell, Jr., and Derek Lone Hill.
A one night wake service started on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle, with Elder Don Telford and Mr. Joe Cross officiating. Burial was at the Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery in Allen.
