RAPID CITY – Elena Rae Bagola, 34, made her journey to the spirit world on February 5, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
She was born on July 30th, 1984 in Pine Ridge to Carolyne Williams (Hairy Bird) and Fredrick Richard Bagola, Sr. She enjoyed spending time and caring for her kids and family. She had an unforgettable laugh and a smile that brightened up the room. Elena was a beautiful spirit and was a very strong and caring woman. Everyone could count on her for a helping hand. She was an amazing mother and a loving sister, daughter, grandmother and best friend.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyne Williams; her father, Fredrick Bagola, Sr.; her stepfather, Ron Williams; her daughter, Mia Rae Jesperson and her granddaughter, Violet Rae Jesperson; her son, Cory Allen “Jr.” Bagola; her sisters, Santana Hairy Bird and Samantha Williams; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and close friends.
An all night wake service started on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Woyatan Lutheran Church in Rapid City. Funeral services and celebration of Elena’s life was held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Woyatan Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.
