OGLALA – Georgiana Catherine Picket Pin-Garnier, 67, made her journey to the Spirit World on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Regional Health Hospital in Custer.
Georgiana Catherine Picket Pin-Garnier was born on September 22, 1951 in Alliance, Neb. to Isaac Picket Pin and Henrietta Little.
Our mother was a quiet, humble, beautiful Winyan. She loved all of her children, Brother & family very much. She was her family’s best supporter, always at her grandchildren’s activities.
Georgiana is survived by her children, Shawn L. Cross of Tecumseh, Neb., Georgiana “T.C.” Cross of Hot Springs, Kadence D. Garnier of Oglala, David Garnier, Jr. Dirk Garnier, Sr., Dakota Garnier, Sr., Bobbyjoe Garnier and Billyjoe Garnier, all of Oglala; hunka son, Jeremy Picket Pin of Rapid City; father, Isaac Picket Pin of Washington; siblings, Isaac Picket Pin, Sr. of Alliance, Neb., Stevie Mills of Washington, Gary Mills of Hisle, and Donna Treloar of Arizona; Unci’s Takojas, Tommy, Cassandra, Davida, Nevaeh, Davon, Davian, Davine, Lucy, Damian, Dirk, Jr., Dakota, Jr., Kitahna, Drayson, Daelyn, and Byron; and great Takojas, Tyran and Inyan.
Georgiana was preceded in death by her husband, David Garnier, Sr.; sons, Tommy Cross and Byron Garnier; grandsons, Bryant J. Garnier and Drayson Garnier; mother, Henrietta Little; and grandparents, David Picket Pin, Hilda White Wash, Henry Little and Bessie Leading Fighter.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Respects Nothing, Nupa Garnier, Jr., Antone Red Feather, Daniel Wolfe, Andy Her Many Horses and Robert Her Many Horses.

A two night wake service started on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall, with Reverend Don Mink officiating. Traditional Lakota services were held with Mr. Jim Cross and Mr. Justin Cross. Burial was at the Makasan Presbyterian Cemetery in Oglala.
