Rapid City SD-Helen Kim Red Owl-66 was born on December 25, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to Archie Red Owl, Sr. and Pauline Montileaux. Helen made her journey to the Spirit World on July 20, 2022 at the Avantara Mountain View Nursing Home in Rapid City, SD.
Helen is survived by her daughter Bethany Dez Brewer; sons, David P. Brewer and Derek J. Brewer; siblings, Rita (Bill) Red Owl, Archie (Denise) Red Owl, Joseph (Joan) Red Owl, David (Jodi) Red Owl, and Tanya Pawnee Leggins; and grandchildren, Zachariah, Zayden Aleecia, Deontae, Miracus, Madalynn, Avalynn, and Pace.
Helen was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Rouillard; father, Archie Red Owl, Sr.; mother, Pauline Montileaux; brothers, Ronald Red Owl, Sr. and Verdell “Porky” Pawnee Leggins, Jr.; sister, Audrey Ann Red Owl; grandparents, Helena Montileaux and Joseph “JoJo” Montileaux; nephew, Nathan Red Owl; and nieces, Mariah Pawnee Leggins and Miranda Kim Red Owl.
Pallbearers will be Tyson Saucedo, Bill Shangreaux, Lynden Shangreaux, Jeremy Rosales, Jared Shangreaux, Jess Red Owl, Dwight Kills In Water, and Arthur Clifford, Jr.
