From Nov. 8-15 the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and WCRA (Women’s Rodeo World Championship) will unite to make women’s sports history, teaming to hold the $750,000 Women’s Rodeo World Championship in Texas.

Featuring some of the world’s fiercest female athletes, the more than 200 contestants will compete in four disciplines (barrel racing, team roping (heading and heeling) and breakaway roping) with each champion earning a $60,000 bonus, and the All Around Champion earning an additional $20,000.

While the qualifying rounds will be held in Fort Worth, the Top 6 athletes in each competing discipline will advance to compete for the championship inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Those rounds, held in tandem with the 2020 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast, will be held from Nov. 13-15.

Among the 16 athletes that automatically qualified to the main event of the historic all-women’s championship is a Hermosa, South Dakota native:

  • Hermosa, South Dakota’s Hallie Hanssen who is a 3x WCRA Major Qualifier. She has qualified in Barrel Racing.
