PINE RIDGE – Jamie Capossela, 2 hours, made her journey to the Spirit World on Monday, April 29, 2019 in her mother’s arms.
Jamie Capossela was born to Peter Capossela and Joni Tobacco on April 28, 2019. Jamie was with us for way, way, way too short of a time. During her brief time in this world, Jamie made a powerful, heartfelt impact on her family. She was beautiful.
In addition to her parents, Jamie is survived by her maternal grandfather, Vern Weston, and grandmother, Dorothi Tobacco; brothers, Guthrie (wife, Tonya), Lee Gerry (Lucy) and Leroy Iron Cloud; sisters, Cassidy Hayes, and Nettie; many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Jamie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Anthony and Dorothy Capossela.
Pallbearers were Gideon Youngman and Doug Crow Ghost.
A traditional Lakota burial service was held at the Tobacco family cemetery at Dorothi Tobacco’s residence, near Pine Ridge led by Mr. Richard Broken Nose.
