PINE RIDGE – Katherine Cecelia Cottier, 65 made her journey to the Spirit World on August 30, 2022 at her home in Pine Ridge, SD. Katherine was born on October 23, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to Bert Cottier, Sr. and Mary (Flying Hawk) Cottier.
Katherine is survived by her children, Kenneth Cottier, Stephanie Cottier, Darrell Spotted Elk, Jr., and Francis Spotted Elk; sisters, Rose Cottier, Alberta Cottier, and Loretta Cottier; brother, Bert Cottier, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Bert & Mary (Flying Hawk) Cottier; granddaughter, Ashley Spotted Elk; and uncle, Jerry Cottier.
Pallbearers will be Lester Flying Hawk, Johnny Joe Boerschig, Jovon Spotted Elk, Darren Spotted Elk, Kit Cottier, Craig Cottier, TJ Elk Boy, Wesley Cottier, Jr., and Brandi Cottier.
Honorary pallbearers will be all Friends & Relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Manderson, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Manderson, SD
Officiating: Ms. Joyce Tibbitts and Father Edmund Yainao, S.J.
Burial Services: St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Manderson, SD
