RAPID CITY – Mary Lou Du- Bray, 64, made her journey to the Spirit World on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her home in Rapid City.
Mary Lou DuBray “Makoce To Win” ~ Blue Earth Woman ~ was born on May 23, 1954 in Pine Ridge to Calvin Frazier and Anna Mae DuBray.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Anna Marie DuBray, Robert Leo DuBray, Crystal Rae DuBray, and Ollie Jean DuBray all of Rapid City; grandchildren, Calvin McCloskey, Wesley Dillon, Johnny Mae McCloskey, Whitney Dillon, Britney Dillon, John Dillon, Drake Cruz DuBray, Illeanna DuBray, Darius DuBray, Devin Dante DuBray, Xzavier Blaze DuBray, Verdell Long Soldier III, Chrystina Mary DuBray, Tryston Long Soldier, Esperanza Jade Dixon, James Dale Dixon, Wambli Cole Smith, Mato Damon Smith, Mary Lou Smith, and Denali Jesseleah DuBray; brothers, Ed DuBray, Sr. of Porcupine, and Myron “Chico” DuBray of Rapid City; sisters, Connie Hopkins of Rapid City, Arlene Hopkins of Seattle, Wash., and Tonya Guerra of Rapid City; and one great granddaughter of Hermosa.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Frazier and Anna Mae DuBray; grandson, Robert Lee Charging; brother, Clement Charles DuBray; nephew, Carlos Hopkins; grandfather, George Leo DuBray; grandmother, Mollie Ollie DuBray; cousins, Shanna DuBray, Clover Standing Bear, and Terry Olson; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth DuBray, Cherrie Harper, Cleveland DuBray, Gordon DuBray, Carl DuBray, John DuBray, Theda Johnson, Spud DuBray, Jumbo DuBray, Gary Richards, and James Lee Du- Bray; and sister-in-law, Thelma Bullman.
A two night wake service started on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Pass Creek CAP Office in Allen. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Woyaton Lutheran Church in Rapid City. Traditional Lakota services were held with Mr. Dave Claymore. Burial was at the Pine Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
