OGLALA – Minerva Frances Blacksmith, 74, made her journey to the Spirit World on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City.

Minerva Frances Blacksmith was born on December 27, 1944 at home in Oglala to Asa Walks Out and Elizabeth Blacksmith.

Minerva is survived by her siblings, Aurelia Two Crow and Norma Blacksmith both of Oglala; daughter, Sonja Two Bulls of Red Shirt Table; son, Matt Two Bulls III of Red Shirt Table; hunka children, Cindy Ross of Rapid City, Andrea Two Bulls of Red Shirt, Karolelyn Dix of Elko, Nev. and Shannon Thin Elk-Stevens of Spring Creek; grandchildren, Ana Alvarez of Red Shirt, Luis (Jayci) Alvarez of Tooele, Utah, Rachel (Gerrid) Two Bulls of Green Bay, Wisc., Gladys Roberts of South Jordon, Utah, Danea Jade & Billie Jo Rivetti both of Draper, Utah, Shannon Muir of Sun City, Ariz., Kelsey Piper of Pine Ridge, Germine Barrios and Elizabeth (Dennis) Rodas both of Green Bay, Wisc., Jose (Felicia) Vasquez of Fresno, Calif., Lupe (Calvin) Sasse of Rapid City, David Two Bulls and James (Alexa) Arviso both of Green Bay, Wisc., Manny Arviso of Rapid City, Baby Rachel L. Minerva was preceded in death by her parents, Asa Walks Out and Elizabeth Blacksmith; husband, Matthew Sylvester Two Bulls II; daughters, Leslie Jean Two Bulls and Kimberly Kaye Two Bulls; grandchildren, Schecashlyn BJ Conway, and Gideon Moses Crazy Thunder; brothers, Albert Walks Out, Elda Walks Out, Floyd John Walks Out, Leonard Walks Out, Hermus Walks Out, Walter Walks Out, Frank Walks Out, Lucas Ten Fingers, and Charlie Donahue; and sister, Florence Cross Dog.

A one night wake service started on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, with Pastor Darren Purdy officiating. Traditional Lakota services were held with Mr. Ivis Long Visitor. Burial was at the 7th Day Adventist Cemetery in Red Shirt Table.
