Mona Lisa Bettelyoun

RAPID CITY – Mona Lisa Bettelyoun, 65, journeyed to the Spirit World on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.

Mona Lisa Bettelyoun was born on October 29, 1954 in Rapid City to Lino Olives and Lenora LaMont-Blue Bird.

Mona was raised by Nancy LaMont-Salway and George LaMont.

Mona is survived by daughter, Joey Bettelyoun; sons, Travis Bettelyoun and Joel Bettelyoun; granddaughter, Judith Sierra; and step-daughter, Margaret Sierra; siblings, Millie Blue Bird, Theresa Blue Bird, George Blue Bird, Robert J. Blue Bird, Warren Blue Bird, Gilbert Blue Bird, and Buffy Blue Bird; hunka sister, Marlyce Miner; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bettelyoun; daughter, Nancy Bettelyoun; son, Joseph “Fonzy” Bettelyoun; mother, Nancy LaMont-Salway; father, Lino Olives; birth mother, Lenora LaMont-Blue Bird; step-father, Sunny Schmidt; and sisters, Lenora Blue Bird and Ione Blue Bird.

Pallbearers were Cody Bettelyoun, Joseph Bettelyoun, Myles Dillon, Lyle Dillon, John Conroy, Rex D. Conroy, Jr., Jesse Whalen, William Dillon, Jason Dillon, Jeremy Claymore, and Rodger Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were all her Peers, Co-Workers, Friends & Family.

Viewing services were held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Woyatan Lutheran Church in Rapid City. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Knight’s Cemetery near Batesland.
