New chapter and new title for book about Russell Means

Helene Hagan announced the new publication of her latest book under a new title. The book has been amplified. Its title has been changed to “Russell Means: The European Ancestry of a Militant Indian”. ISBN 9781984547705 for E-Book ($3.99) and ISBN 9781984547712 for the soft cover book ($51.99).

A new substantial chapter has been added to the book, titled “French- Indians of America – the neglected story of French- Indian unions in early America.” The new text retraces the history of early French explorers under Récollet and Jesuit missions, Coureurs des bois, voyageurs, metis boatmen and bison hunters in the Plains, stressing the importance of the French-Indian marriages in the economic development of the fur trade and the exploration of the interior of the North American continent.

A final chapter titled “The Russell Means Show” presents the story of the Public Access Television Show I created and produced in Los Angeles from 2000 to 2003 with famous French Indian Russell Means as Host of half a dozen programs. The core of the book, which is the European Ancestry of Russell Means, and research I conducted among Lakota people of Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota have been preserved.

A lot of thoughtful research has gone to add substance and context to the original presentation published last October. It is bound to capture your interest as it explores a topic historically neglected, the vital and sizeable French and French Indian contribution to the History of the Great Plains.

The book is available at amazon.com, b&n.com, xlibris.com and you cn purchase it also through this link: www.helenehagan.com/books/.
