Patricia Joan (Salway) Krier, age 76 of Martin, SD, made her way to the Spirit World on August 26, 2021 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. She was born on June 9, 1945 to Marvin and Wyomia (Fay) Salway in Edgemont, South Dakota.
Patricia attended high school in Pine Ridge, SD. She married the love of her life, Robert Krier on December 1, 1962 in Casper, Wyoming. They were blessed with two children, Kristine and Kurtis. She and Robert spent a large part of their lives in and around Martin, South Dakota. Together, she and Robert enjoyed fishing, baking, decorating cakes and visiting the casino. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and all sorts of crafts as well as bingo. She always had a love of stuffed animals. She loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. She was always listening to music and enjoyed watching western movies. Patricia was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and volunteer whenever anyone needed help. Patricia loved her family dearly.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Krier; sisters, Shirley Salway and Orla Salway; daughter, Kristine (Gerald) Novak; son, Kurtis (Lucero) Krier; grandchildren, Anthony (Christian) Novak, Nathan (Malesa) Novak, Nicole Novak, Zayra Krier and Vlad Krier; great grandchildren, Zakk, Tristan, Justin and Greyson; nieces, Wyomia (Dave) and Patty Jo; nephews, Virgil (Cercie), Rudy, Robert and Jesse; great nephews, Alex, Aric, Sage and Seth; and great niece, Teka.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Wyomia (Fay) Salway; sister, Sandra Salway; brothers, Ashton Salway and Marvin Ritts; and nephew, Butch.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Our lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Martin, SD.
