REDCO awarded Community Innovation Grant

PIERRE — The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) presented the Rosebud Economic Development Corporation (REDCO) with a Community Innovation Grant award. The organization will benefit from a $9,913 award.

This award from the SDCF is offered in partnership with the Bush Foundation. REDCO is seeking to restore the Sicangu Lakota Oyate to a state of food sovereignty.

“The SDCF is proud to partner with the Rosebud Economic Development Corporation and support their work to address food related issues in their area,” says Ginger Niemann, SDCF program officer. “We look forward to sharing their innovative strategies with others dealing with similar issues.”

Community Innovation Grants (CIG) provide funding aimed at uncovering breakthroughs in community needs across the state. Community Innovation Grants are the direct result of a partnership between the South Dakota Community Foundation and the Bush Foundation.
