PINE RIDGE — Rhena Ann Trueblood “Ta Anpo Waste Win” ~Beautiful Dawn Woman~, 36, made her journey to the Spirit World on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Rhena Ann Trueblood was born on May 13, 1981 in Pine Ridge to Anthony Yellow Boy and Karen (Trueblood) Kirk.
Rhena is survived by her father, Tony Yellow Boy of Mobridge; sons, Chance Clifford- White Plume of Manderson and Patrick Pulliam, Jr. of Pine Ridge; daughter, KaRhena Pulliam of Pine Ridge; brothers, Wayne Trueblood of Pine Ridge, Byron DeSersa of Manderson, and Michael Trueblood and Steve Yellow Boy both of Rapid City; special friend, Louis “Bud” Gallego of Pine Ridge; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Rhena was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Trueblood- Kirk; sister, Kendra Yellow Boy, and grandparents, Margaret Pourier, Jess Trueblood, and Patrick & Zelda Yellow Boy.
A one night wake service started on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, with Father Christopher Johnson, S.J. officiating. Burial was held at the Trueblood Family Cemetery in Slim Buttes.
