“Red Tapio gave Duane the nickname Peter Rabbit and pretty soon it was just “Pete” and he went to work at Holy Rosary Mission as a cook for the faculty right after he graduated where some of the students started to call him Brother Pete. After the cartoon about another rabbit name Frosty came out, Duane’s name suddenly became Frosty. He was my first cousin and we grew up together and went to Holy Rosary Mission together. Frosty worked for me when I owned a coffee and donut shop in Box Elder. He was one of my favorite cousins and I will miss him,” Tim Giago, Native Sun News owner said.
