RAPID CITY – Samantha Denise White Face, 46, made her journey to the Spirit World on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City.
Samantha Denise White Face was born on October 13, 1972 in Pine Ridge to Richard White Face and Josephine Elk Boy- Hard Heart.
Samantha is survived by her children, Donna Yankton of Denver, Colo., Roxanne Yankton and Donovan Yankton, Jr. both of Evergreen, Samuel Fast Wolf of Rapid City, and Shawnee Afraid of Hawk and Billie Red Shirt both of Pine Ridge; sisters, Fawn White Face of Rapid City and Lorraine White Face of Belle Fourche; brothers, Donovan White Face and Dennis White Face both of Pine Ridge; grandchildren, Mariah Mesteth, Nevaeh Mesteth, Sapphire Afraid of Hawk, Anthony Yankton, Aliana Sandoval, and Jonathan Sandoval, Jr.; aunts, Linda White Face of Porcupine, Esther White Face of Pine Ridge, Lorraine White Face of Evergreen, and Blanche White Face of Tennessee; and uncles, Elmer White Face, Sr. of Evergreen, Manuel White Face and David White Face both of Porcupine, and Chauncey White Face, Jr. of Pine Ridge.
Samantha was preceded in death by her parents, Richard White Face and Josephine Elk Boy-Hard Heart; sister, Jackie White Face-Tail; brothers, Thomas White Face and Dewey White Face; uncles, Benjamin White Face and Seth White Face; and aunt, Ellen Reno American Horse.
A one night wake service started on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, with Pastor William “Bill” Quijas. Burial was at the Body of Christ Cemetery in Porcupine.
