As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, fans are delighted to feast and watch all of the festivities. It is an extra treat this year as the league has planned a triple-header Thursday. For the morning game, the Lions host the Buffalo Bills. At noon, the Dallas Cowboys will host the New York Giants and at turkey time the Minnesota Vikings host the New England Patriots as well.

Speaking of Thursday games, the (7-3) Tennessee Titans continue their winning ways defeating the (4-7) Green Bay packers, 27-17. Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is returning to form tossing 333 yards and two scores. Titans WR Trejon Burks tallied 111 yards of receptions to aid the win.

So close but so far away for the (3-6) Chicago Bears as they drop a close contest to the (5-6) Atlanta Falcons, 27-24. Falcons returner Cordarelle Patterson returned a kick for 103 yards and a score while punter Younghoe Koo booted a 58-yarder to seal the deal for the Falcons.

Extreme weather and seven feet of snow in Buffalo forced the Bills to a neutral corner playing at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. It did not stop the (7-3) Buffalo Bills from defeating the (3-7) Cleveland Browns 31-23.

Browns backup QB Jacoby Brissett had a great outing tossing for 324 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

So close but so far away for the (4-6-1) Indianapolis Colts who dropped a nail biter to the (9-1) Philadelphia Eagles, 17-16. With only 1:20 seconds in regulation Eagles QB Jalen Hurts sprinted 8-yards for the “go ahead” touchdown. Hurts would end the contest tossing for 190 yards and a score while rushing for 88 additional yards and a score as well.

Improving to (8-2) are the Kansas City Chiefs with a tough win over the (5-5) Los Angeles Chargers, 30-27. A dynamic duo as Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed another 329-yard day performance along with three touchdowns. Meanwhile, teammate TE Travis Kelce caught one of three touchdowns including the game sealer with only thirty seconds remaining. Kelcey knotted 115 yards as well as he posed his tribute to Hall of Famer Deion Sanders high stepping into the end zone.

Stunned, were the fans of the (6-4) New York Jets who dropped a 10-3 loss to the (6-4) New England Patriots. It was a defensive battle of the ages until the very last play of the game. Patriots Kick Returner Marcus Jones returned an 82-yard kickoff for the winning score. “That is why you always hear coaches telling their players to play to the last second of the game,” noted the Captain.

New Orleans Saints are marching to a (4-7) record after their 27-20 win over the (3-7) Los Angeles Rams. Saints QB Andy Dalton was the star tossing for 267 yards and three touchdowns for the victory.

How about those (4-6) Detroit Lions who have back-to-back wins after upsetting the (7-3) New York Giants, 31-18. A solid outing for the Lions offensively however, it was Giants QB Daniel Jones who topped 341 yards and score in the loss.

Another defensive struggle as the (3-8) Carolina Panthers lost to the (7-3) Baltimore Ravens,13-3. Ravens WR DeMarcus Robinson was the star netting 128 yards of receiving on the day.

“Carson Wentz may have a hard time getting his starting role back as back up QB Taylor Heinicke keeps the Commanders winning,” noted the Captain. Heinicke has won four of the last five outings including a 23-10 victory over the (1-9-1) Houston Texans. Heinicke tossed 190 yards of passing in the win.

Two teams that ended with the same record of (3-7) were the Denver Broncos who fell in overtime, 22-16, to the Las Vegas Raiders. A contest that was truly defensive throughout the afternoon. However, it was Raiders star wideout DeVante Adams who was unstoppable, corralling 141 yards of receptions and two scores. Including a 47-yard walk off touchdown in overtime to seal the deal for the Raiders.

How about those Cowboys at (7-3), making a push for a top-seed in the NFC, routing the (8-2) Minnesota Vikings, 30-3. It was the RB Tony Pollard and RB Ezekiel Elliot show. Cowboys RB Tony Pollard collected 109 yards from the air and 80 on the ground along with two scores. Not to be outdone, Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott returned from injury to score two touchdowns as well to aid in the win.

In Pittsburgh, the Steelers drop to (3-7) with a 37-30 loss to the (6-4) Cincinnati Bengals. Bengals QB Joe Burrow regaining his form tossing for 366 yards and a whopping four touchdowns. Mostly to teammate WT Tee Higgins for 148 yards to complete the outing.
