Te’Ca Lynn Clifford




 

 

PINE RIDGE –– Te’Ca Lynn Clifford, 13, made her journey to the Spirit World Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Te’Ca Lynn was born on June 22, 2003, the only child of Crystal Red Kettle and Eli Clifford Jr. Te’Ca attended Pine Ridge Elementary K- 7th grade where she played basketball. Te’Ca left her family tragically on July 20, 2016.

Te’Ca leaves behind a large family who loved her immensely. Her parents, Crystal Red Kettle and Eli Clifford Jr., both of Pine Ridge; brother, Christopher Brown, Pine Ridge; grandparents, Frankee and Paul White Dress, Pine Ridge; Christine Red Kettle of Rapid City, and Lynn Gallego of Pine Ridge; uncles, Tony Red Kettle, Leon Red Kettle, Cory Clifford Sr. and William Hill of Rapid City, and Lenny Clifford Jr. of Utah; aunts, Phaera Madden, Annie Clifford and Edie Clifford all of Pine Ridge, Martha Ciccia of Texas, Sarah Clifford of Utah, Lynette Clifford of Bismarck, N.D., Julia Clifford of Manderson, Daphne Janis and Sherry Steele both of Pine Ridge, and Zaniya White Dress and Angel Hill- White Dress both of Rapid City.

Te’Ca was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Tashiana Martia Hernandez; grandfathers, Ambrose Red Kettle Sr. and Eli Clifford Sr.; cousin, Shawn Clifford; and grandmother, Beulah Gallego.

A one night wake service was held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gymnasium in Pine Ridge. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Pine Ridge Elementary School Gymnasium in Pine Ridge, with Rev. Rhoda Mesteth officiating. Traditional Lakota services were by Mr. Jim Miller. Burial services were at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery, Kyle.
