Amanda Takes War Bonnet, Oglala Lakota, lives on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and is a semi-retired journalist, editor and publisher. She currently is Public Education Specialist for the Native Women’s Society of the Great Plains. Amanda is an award winning former editor of Lakota Times, and Indian Country Today.
