KYLE — Verine Ann Hunter, 52, made her journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Kyle.
Verine Ann Hunter was born on November 28, 1964 in Pine Ridge to Dennis “Tubby” Palmier and Arlette (Hunter) Starbuck.
Verine is survived by her children, Arlen (Sylvia) Hunter of Wounded Knee, Charles (Ellen) Kieffe of Kyle and Tucker (Ian Reddy) Kieffe of Martin; hunka son, Frank Garnette of Kyle; significant other, Louie Whirlwind Horse of Kyle; brothers, Lance Hunter of Pine Ridge, William “Bill” Fish of Rapid City and Roy “Buck” Martinez of Kyle; sisters, India Starbuck of Wagner; aunt, Penny Hunter-Downham of Kyle; cousins, Waylon “Jim” Hunter and Leonard Downham, both of Kyle; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; and the Hunter Family.
Verine was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis “Tubby” Palmier and Arlette (Hunter) Starbuck; brother, Scott Starbuck; hunka son, Michael Garnette; grandparents, Len and Elvira Hunter; aunt, Valerie Hunter; and uncle, Arlen John Hunter.
A one night wake service started on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall, with Fr. Ron Seminara officiating. Burial services were at the St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle.
