Join us to see this incredible play Wicoun – made with and about the Oceti Sakowin. Free will donation, bring your own chairs if you can. The play will take place outdoors in our parking lot, and it will be a wonderful experience.

In WICOUN, Áya and their brother Khoskalaka have their hands full raising their siblings and cousins, dealing with zombies on the prowl, and trying to graduate high school. But after Áya, a Lakota teen, summons a traditional superhero in a moment of bravery, they have to embark on a journey across the lands of the Oceti Sakowin to find answers in the old stories, within themselves, and in paha sapa.

Written by Larissa FastHorse (Sicangu Lakota) and directed by Michael John Garcés, the play also stars local actors and features the sound design of Talon Bazille Ducheneaux (Cheyenne River Lakota & Crow Creek Dakota). The play is a production of the Cornerstone Theater Company.
